About Us

OUR STORY

We are a family of Floridians, my father loved the Everglades. My dad always wanted to take us to the woods or the glades. The Everglades is where he found peace, sometimes we would just go to the woods, grass, or swamp and just sit and watch in silence. We might have been in a boat, airboat or buggy but nature did not care, and always gave us a show. In general we love nature and being in the woods. We always want to know about the plants, fish, birds, reptiles and animals that surround us. Those were the days when people could enjoy the woods, the animals, the reptiles and the birds. But now in 2025 things have changed. There is a picture on this website of a 12 ft Burmese python that was taken from the canal right behind our house in Everglades City. This was the point I knew I had to do something about the invasion of the pythons into the Everglades. Yes, there are professional python hunters doing great work but we need many more. We welcome you to our website dedicated to removing pythons from the Everglades. Of course we know that it takes a special person to go into the swamp and wrestle a snake and bring it in. You can help by shopping with us and spreading the word and work. The purpose of this website is to educate the public and to support the hunters any way we can.

The Everglades, a sprawling wetland ecosystem in Florida, is under threat from the invasive Burmese python. These non-native constrictor snakes have established a thriving breeding population, posing a serious challenge to the region’s delicate ecological balance. Their presence alarms conservationists and wildlife managers, who struggle to control their spread and minimize environmental damage.

Accurately counting Burmese pythons in the Everglades is difficult due to their elusive behavior and the dense, challenging terrain. Skilled at blending into their surroundings, these snakes are hard to spot, rendering direct population counts impractical. Researchers and wildlife agencies depend on estimation techniques to gauge their numbers.

Population estimates for Burmese pythons range widely, from tens of thousands to potentially hundreds of thousands, with some studies suggesting 100,000 to 300,000 individuals. Precise figures are elusive because methods like capture-recapture are less effective due to the snakes’ low detectability and the impracticality of releasing captured individuals.

OUR MISSION

Our Mission is to bring as much attention to the Everglades as we can. Many things are happening in the Everglades that people need to know about.

Invasive pythons are destroying the birds, animals and other reptiles in the Everglades. The python pictured above was pulled from a salt marsh near Everglades National Park and from behind our house. The pythons are now everywhere from the salt edge of The Gulf Of America Everglades, all the way to the freshwater rivers of grass. The Everglades is in trouble and the Everglades my father knew is dying. I do believe it can be saved however it is going to take effort from individual people, government, corporations, businesses and brands to make a difference. That is why Everglades Soap Company is committed to donating a portion of our proceeds to help remove pythons and sponsor python hunters in the Everglades.

We also want to make sure the mangrove forests are protected and preserved and that new mangroves are planted where they are needed. We are contributing to both of those causes.

Join us in our mission to eradicate the pythons and keep the mangroves where they are needed the most protecting our shorelines.
